Christophe is a local French chef with over 20 years of restaurant ownership experience in the region, and a passion for showcasing the magnificence of fresh local black truffles.
The cooking demonstration will be an immersive experience where attendees can witness firsthand the artistry and culinary magic of working with fresh black truffles. As an expert in this field, Christophe will not only showcase the culinary applications but also delve into the rich history of black truffles, elucidating the intricacies of cultivation, harvesting, and their versatile use in the kitchen.
Moreover, to elevate the authenticity of the event, Christophe will use and incorporate fresh truffles from his own truffle farm in Bungendore, as the centrepiece of the demonstration, allowing participants to touch and witness its aromatic allure and unparalleled flavour firsthand.
Demonstrations will include cauliflower velouté with truffle during the morning session and pumpkin and truffle velouté in the afternoon. Each session will also cover various methods of incorporating truffles into cooking. As always, our presentation will include the rich history of truffles. A tasting will also be included for each session.
